Numerous pre-certification tests
PDCi carries out a large number of pre-certification tests for its customers with a view to receiving CE certification for the product. This first phase takes place on our site in Orléans to prepare products for approval by a certified laboratory.
In electronics, PDCi makes investigations and inspections in an anechoic chamber before certification tests. The purpose of these tests is to cover the aspects of immunity and radiation in order to guarantee the success of ECM tests with a view to the product's CE/FCC label. In mechanics, PDCi tends to use qualified materials which do not need to be certified by the customer.
Certification (CE label, compliance with regulations, AFNOR certification, etc.) is a complex area. There are numerous standards and different certification processes which have a major impact on our customers' responsibility.
If necessary, PDCi accompanies its customers in having their project approved by a standard by using long-standing certification partners. This involves identifying the list of standards with which a product must comply depending on its geographic scope of sale, the type of end customer, etc. Then, PDCi accompanies its customers in their dealings with laboratories which have the required authority to allocate the relevant certification.
Lastly, some technologies may need to be registered. Examples of this are Bluethooth, Thread, WIFI, EnOcean, etc. Once again, PDCi accompanies its customers in obtaining the necessary registrations.
